Greystoke: The Legend of Tarzan, The Lord of the Apes

The film started with a shipping disaster in the 19th century which has a man and a woman stranded in the wild jungle of Africa. The woman is pregnant and later on, gives birth to a son in a tree house that they have built. Soon after, an ape discovered their tree house and killed both parents. A female ape then takes the baby boy as a replacement for her own dead infant, and raises him like a son.

Many years later, a group of hunters enters the jungle near Tarzan’s home. However, they were attacked by a native tribe. Captaine Phillippe D’Arnot, who is injured, discovers a man who thinks he is an ape. He begins teaching the man English and took him to the tree house that leads him to believe that he is the direct descendant of the Earl of Greystoke, and thus takes it upon himself to bring the man to civilization.
